ABOUT ETÉREO

ETÉREO is a ceremonial retreat center based in Baja California Sur, Mexico. We offer immersive, intentionally held retreats that integrate traditional medicine work, modern therapeutic care, and long-term integration support. Our work includes ETÉREO-led internal retreats, private retreats by request, and land-based offerings that host aligned facilitators and gatherings.
ETÉREO is also the vision in motion of a long-term sanctuary currently in development, rooted in stewardship, care, and depth.

ETÉREO operates as both a retreat operator and a land-based host. We guide our own internal retreats and also host select external facilitators whose work aligns with our values, safety standards, and approach to care.

Yes. ETÉREO welcomes a limited number of external retreats, workshops, and gatherings that are aligned with our ethos and protocols. All hosting requests are reviewed to ensure fit, safety, and integrity of the land and container.

RETREAT EXPERIENCES

Our client journey begins with a screening and preparation process prior to arrival. Retreats typically include arrival and orientation, intention setting, ceremonial work, daily integration practices, one-on-one support, group processing, and time for rest and reflection. Following the retreat, guests receive immediate post-retreat integration support, with options for longer-term integration through both community-based and private offerings.
Our retreats and ceremonies are 1 - 8 day experiences. -
We offer both group and private retreats. Group retreats are intentionally small, with no more than 9 guests, allowing for a high level of personal attention and care.
Private retreats are tailored to individuals, couples, or small groups.

Yes. Private retreats are available by request and are designed to offer greater flexibility, personalization, and spaciousness based on individual needs and readiness.

MEDICINE WORK

ETÉREO works with iboga, huachuma (San Pedro), and 5-MeO-DMT. Each medicine is offered with careful preparation, deep reverence, and experienced facilitation within clearly defined ceremonial containers.

Our intake and consultation process is designed to understand your history, intentions, and readiness. We invite you to trust yourself and you personal calling and intentions. We are also able to support you in determining which medicine and retreat format may be most aligned at this time.

All medicine work is supported by experienced facilitators and appropriate medical oversight. We conduct thorough screening, maintain clear safety and emergency protocols, and hold ceremonies in grounded, supportive environments designed to prioritize care and discernment.

All guests must complete a health and medical screening process for approval. Preparation guidance and support sessions are included for all retreat participants. Iboga retreats require additional medical testing and approval by our team to ensure safety and suitability.
LOGISTICS & ACCESIBILITY

Our retreats are all-inclusive and typically cover accommodations, meals, facilitation, and on-site support. Airport transportation is included for all retreats. Optional add-ons, such as massages or IVs, may be available.
Airfare is not included. -
Guests fly into Los Cabos International Airport (SJD). ETÉREO is located near Todos Santos, approximately 1.5 hours away on the Pacific side of the Baja Peninsula. We are located in Baja California Sur, at the southern tip of the peninsula, not near the U.S. border.
ETÉREO | AIRE LIBRE is located in a small desert mountain town called Mantancitas. Our partner venues for our 8 day retreats are in the greater Todos Santos area, 20 minutes from the land.
Please do not follow the ETÉREO Google pin, as it is close but not exact. -
We recommend comfortable clothing, layers for the desert climate, a journal, personal toiletries, and an openness to the process. A detailed packing list will be provided prior to arrival.

Yes. We provide nourishing, thoughtfully prepared meals and can accommodate most dietary restrictions with advance notice. Our lead Chef at ETÉREO, Chef Paul Barbosa, specializes in fermentation and gut healthy foods.

BOOKING & POLICIES

Guests begin by completing an intake form. A member of our team will then reach out to schedule a consultation to explore alignment, readiness, and next steps.

A 50% deposit is required to secure your place.
• 60+ days before the retreat: Full refund
• 30–45 days before the retreat: Deposit may be held as credit for a future retreat minus a $300 administrative fee, unless the spot is filled from the waitlist
• Within 30 days: Deposit is non-refundable, though it may be applied to a future retreat if the spot is filled
We are open to discussing extenuating circumstances such as bereavement, COVID-related issues, or natural disasters.
After reserving your space to a specific retreat, if you wish to transfer to a future retreat date on our calendar you must request at least 6 weeks prior to your retreat date. -
Yes. Payment plans and scholarship support may be available depending on the retreat and timing. We encourage you to ask for what you need.

ETÉREO is guided by experienced facilitators trained in traditional medicine work, trauma-informed care, and holistic healing. Our broader team includes therapists, medical supervisors, integration specialists, and ceremonial support staff.
Intake Form
We require screening for all ceremonies and retreats. Please fill out our Health and Medical form if you have not already. The process takes about 7 minutes and is required of all ETÉREO clients. After completion one of our team members will reach out to you!
