At ETÉREO, we offer intimate, ceremonial iboga retreats in Baja California Sur, Mexico for those who are ready to meet themselves honestly. Our work is not clinical or commodified. It is guided by devotion, ancestral reverence, and grounded preparation with your safety held at every level.
Indigenous to Central West Africa, iboga has been used for centuries in the Bwiti tradition. It’s a root bark that holds deep healing potential for trauma, addiction, depression, and spiritual initiation.
Unlike ibogaine treatment centers, we work with whole-root iboga in ceremonial containers held by experienced guides.

At ETÉREO, we hold a ceremonial approach to iboga that honors the Bwiti lineage while integrating a modern, holistic understanding of healing. This is not a passive experience. It’s a co-creative process, held with structure, reverence, and clear boundaries.
Our team walks with you, not above you. We don’t position ourselves as gurus or saviors. We are guides, protectors, and mirrors, creating the conditions for the medicine to do what it knows how to do.
We take time. We screen carefully. We prepare you fully. We stay in relationship long after the ceremony ends.

MEdical care
Iboga is powerful medicine, and with that power comes responsibility.
At ETÉREO, safety is held at every level: physical, emotional, and spiritual. Each guest is thoroughly screened through a detailed intake, lab work, and a 12-lead EKG to ensure the medicine is safe and the timing is aligned.
A licensed doctor is on-site throughout the retreat, and we consult with a medical advisor when needed. If there are any concerns, whether cardiovascular, psychological, or otherwise, we’ll support you in getting the clarity you need.
We are not a high-volume clinic. We do not rush the process or overlook red flags. If it is not the right fit, we will tell you with care and help guide your next step.
